Secret Talents

Granny can yodel in four strange keys,
And balance pie tins on both her knees.
Pa makes bird calls with just his nose,
And once seduced a duck, I suppose.
Ma can lasso a fly mid-air,
Then crochet sweaters from goat hair.
Uncle Ned juggles eggs and fate,
While recitin’ Psalms at a trucker’s rate.
Cousin Lou can burp the alphabet twice,
While fryin’ bacon and throwin’ dice.
Aunt June moonwalks in cowboy boots,
And plays Beethoven on wooden flutes.
The preacher solves Rubik’s cubes with prayer,
And once healed a laptop with a glare.
Even the mule hums “Bohemian Rhapsody,”
When no one’s lookin’, and the barn is tidy.
So if you think we’re just hay and dirt,
Watch Granny twerk in a rhinestone skirt.
