Possum Opens Night School for Nocturnal Critters
Ma said, “That possum’s teachin’ class?”
Pa muttered, “Well I’ll be… sass!”
Lou enrolled with owl and fox,
While Granny brought her raccoon socks.
They studied math with firefly glow,
And learned to dodge the headlights slow.
The preacher lectured on the side,
But skunks preferred to improvise.
They taught the art of dumpster raids,
And acorn trades and moonlight grades.
A bat flew in to teach P.E.,
While frogs sang songs in ribbit key.
Now possum’s dean with cap askew,
And mice enroll for evening U.
So if you’re up and full of fight,
There’s learning under starlit night.
