Farmer Hosts Speed Dating in Corn Maze, Loses 14 Singles to Confusion and Coyotes

Pa said, “It’s romantic, just add hay,”
Ma warned, “Them city folks might not stay.”
He carved a maze with twists and dread,
And signs like “Love This Way” that misled.
Couples entered, hearts in bloom,
By dusk, one man proposed to a raccoon.
A yoga girl asked a scarecrow’s sign,
“Are you my soulmate or just divine?”
Meanwhile coyotes heard the flirts,
And RSVP’d in flannel shirts.
By midnight, 14 were gone for good,
Replaced by love notes written in mud.
Pa shrugged, “Well, half of ’em matched,”
Though one lady’s dress was badly scratched.
Still Yelp gave it four and a half stars,
For ‘ambiance,’ snacks, and emotional scars.
