Public Transportation
Pa rode the bus with his spurs still clackin’,
Scared the driver into gear-shift smackin’.
Ma tried the subway, thought it was a mine,
Yelled “We’re goin’ to hell!”–bless her spine.
Granny mistook the turnstile for a gate,
Did a somersault and sued the state.
Uncle Ned brought a goat on the tram,
Named it “Kyle” and fed it ham.
The city folk stared like we’d brought the plague,
As Ma shared jerky and Pa preached vague.
We tried to transfer, but missed the stop,
Rode four extra loops to a vegan co-op.
Jed sat next to a TikTok star,
Now he flosses while fixin’ his car.
The announcer spoke like a NASCAR priest,
While I held a chicken tryin’ to feast.
We may be country, but we ride with pride,
Just don’t ask why the mule’s inside.
