No Ireland – DOWNLOAD

Verse 1
I walk the fields where my fathers stood,
Through towns and valleys, past the old neighborhood.
Once proud and bold, we held fast to our name,
But now I wonder, will it vanish just the same?

They say the future’s bright, they say this change is good,
But they’re clearing away everything we understood.
Traditions fall like leaves to the ground,
And the Ireland we knew can’t be found.

Chorus
I never thought I’d hear this in Ireland:
“No old ideas,” “No old culture,”
“No old customs,” “No old habits.”
They want us a minority by 2040’s hand,
And our grandchildren won’t call this place Ireland.

Verse 2
In the pubs and halls, the songs fade out,
The tales of our people left in doubt.
The shamrock and harp, the Gaelic tongue,
All losing ground to a world undone.

They call it progress, this brand-new day,
But what’s the cost of giving it away?
When history’s sold for immigrants unknown,
What will be left to call our own?

Chorus
I never thought I’d hear this in Ireland:
“No old ideas,” “No old culture,”
“No old customs,” “No old habits.”
They want us a minority by 2040’s hand,
And our grandchildren won’t call this place Ireland.

Bridge
They tell us the past is a burden to bear,
But our roots are deep, and our spirit’s rare.
From the hills to the shores, this land’s in our blood,
Yet they trade it away like it’s nothing but mud.

Verse 3
So here’s to the land that we hold dear,
To the songs, the pride, the Irish cheer.
They can strip the symbols, rewrite the tale,
But the heart of Ireland won’t go stale.

Chorus
I never thought I’d hear this in Ireland:
“No old ideas,” “No old culture,”
“No old customs,” “No old habits.”
They want us a minority by 2040’s hand,
And our grandchildren won’t call this place Ireland.

Outro
But as long as we’re here, as long as we stand,
We’ll keep the fire burning in this ancient land.
For the land of the Gaels, where our stories are spun,
Our Ireland won’t fade, we’ll carry it on.

By Siobhán Ní Mháille

19-year-old Siobhán Ní Mháille hails from the rugged, windswept west coast of Ireland, where her family has farmed the same land for generations. Daughter to a proud Connacht farmer, Siobhán grew up with the rolling fields and stone walls of her family’s farm as her playground, helping her father with the daily work of caring for their livestock and managing the farm's rhythm with each passing season. From an early age, she learned the value of hard work, resilience, and respect for the land—a foundation of Irish life and tradition. Now a college student, Siobhán is pursuing a degree in Agricultural Science, determined to bring new skills back to her community. Though deeply connected to her family’s roots, she’s equally committed to ensuring that Irish farming traditions keep pace with modern advances, hoping to support local farmers in preserving their way of life in a changing world. On weekends, when she returns home from her studies, Siobhán can often be found hiking along the cliffs or helping out at the local farmer’s market, where she proudly represents her family’s produce. Known by friends and family for her lively spirit and quick wit, Siobhán is as passionate about Irish heritage as she is about her future. She’s a lover of Gaelic language, a player of traditional Irish fiddle, and never misses a local céilí dance, where she joins her community in celebrating the music and stories passed down through generations. Siobhán’s heart beats with both the pride of her Irish ancestors and the vision of a sustainable, thriving Ireland. Her goal is clear: to honor the legacy of her family’s farm while embracing a future where the land, its people, and its heritage remain deeply connected.
