Farmer Replaces Scarecrow with Inflatable Politician, Crows Still Terrified
Ma said, “That’s the ugliest thing we’ve ever grown.”
Pa added, “Even the weeds won’t sit near its zone.”
The crows fled squawkin’, wings all a-quiver,
As it waved its arms like a tax-cut giver.
Its tie flapped wildly in the mornin’ dew,
Scarin’ the hawks and a raccoon too.
Farmhands laughed, “Is that a senator?”
“Nope,” Pa grinned, “but it sure does deter.”
It yelled fake promises on looped cassette,
“Lower your corn! Forgive your debt!”
By sundown, even the cows took a knee,
Feared a filibuster near the apple tree.
Now pigeons avoid that acre outright–
Even nature knows a political fright.
