[Verse 1]
I don’t need no PowerPoint, no fancy city script,
Just a tip of my ol’ hat, and a little bit of wit.
I’ll sell you on my ranch, and maybe on my heart,
Just like I sell my cattle, it’s a work of cowboy art.

[Chorus]
Yeah, I’m sellin’ fences, not flowers, baby, that’s my deal,
Forget the sweet-talk, here’s some land and a brand-new field.
No need for gimmicks, or some fancy showroom pitch,
I’ve got room for you and me, come on and scratch that itch.

[Verse 2]
I ain’t much for lyin’, but I’ll tell you this is true,
Got a hundred acres of heaven, and I saved a spot for you.
My boots are scuffed just right, they’re talkin’ loud and clear,
A cowboy’s word is gold, ain’t no room for fear.

[Bridge]
Now love is like an auction, honey, it’s a wild ride,
Gotta be quick and confident, if you wanna be my bride.
No fireworks or roses, just the stars and dusty skies,
We’ll seal it with a handshake, and maybe apple pie.

[Verse 3]
Now what you see is what you get, no glitter, only grit,
I got a truck, a horse, and heart, and darlin’, that’s it.
I’ll hold you steady like my lasso, never let you go,
We’ll be fixin’ fences together, come high or low.

[Outro]
So if you want a cowboy, I’ll tell ya where I stand,
I ain’t got no glitter, but I’ll give you all my land.
I’ll sell you on this life, with a smile and steady hand,
And if you’re lucky, darlin’, I might even throw in the band.

The Cowboy’s Sales Pitch

by Alan Nafzger, 2010

Come gather ‘round folks, and hear my tale,
Of how a cowboy makes his sale.
Whether it’s cows at auction or matters of the heart,
A cowboy’s sales pitch is a work of art.

He don’t need no fancy words, no glossy brochure,
Just a nod and a handshake, a deal that’s pure.
But when it comes to love, well, that’s a game,
Where a cowboy’s pitch is never the same.

“Now ma’am,” he says with a tip of his hat,
“I ain’t much for lyin’, but I’ll tell you that.
I’ve got a ranch, and a heart that’s true,
And there’s room out there for me and you.”

It’s the same with his cows, his horse, and his land,
He sells ‘em with pride, with a steady hand.
No need for gimmicks, no need for the show,
A cowboy’s pitch is as honest as it’ll ever go.
