Chicken Joins City Council, Promises “More Corn, Less Corruption”
Ma cackled, “She’s smarter than most mayors.”
Pa said, “Least she don’t take bribes in layers.”
Hen strutted in with a law degree,
And pecked out plans for transparency.
“No more waste, no shady deals–
Only clean nests and honest meals.”
She fired the rooster who took a cut,
And banned late meetings in the feed hut.
When lobbyists came with shiny seed,
She clucked, “Y’all better learn to read.”
Now the coop’s got term limits and ethics code,
And chickens vote by beak on the road.
The barn’s now run by feathered will,
With democracy served in every pecked bill.
